Requirements to Win:
The websites submitted are judged and scored in three primary categories: Design, Content and Originality. Each category may receive a score of Between 1 to 10. Up to three V.V.C. members may score a particular website. The scores from each V.V.C. member are totaled (30 being a perfect score). These scores are than added together and averaged for a final score. Note: Although we are not yet setup to record and provide individual scoring, winning the award requires a total score of between 24 to 30.

What is the purpose of this award?
It is to signify that your site has been judged to contain quality content, design and HTML expertise. What is my reason for having an awards site?
To give credit where credit is due. I know and you probably know that it takes a lot of time and effort to create a quality site. For this reason, I feel everyone who has achieved their goal of maintaining an overall "elite" site deserves at the least, a badge of honor. The badge of honor I have to offer is the Elite Site Award. If you find that it has no meaning, it is just a graphic that someone created, then by all means, don't put it on your site. For those who appreciate the award, I am honored to present it to you.

This award signifies that your site contains quality content and has skillful design. Your site has been chosen by me, Ravi, to be an "elite" site. Currently, the Elite Site Award does not have a database of winners, when there is one, you will be informed.

Why do I have the authority to judge which sites are good/bad?
I don't. I don't judge which sites are good or bad, I give the award to sites, that in MY opinion are high quality. If you see the award displayed on a site you feel is way below average, then, you are entitled to your own opinion and yes, to you, the site is no good. But I judge the sites according to my own standards. I feel my standards are high, and I feel that it should be a proud thing to display the Elite Site Award on your site.

I would like to thank the individuals who took the time and the effort to nominate other sites out of the goodness of their hearts. If you have seen a site that you feel deserves this award, nominate it and maybe, just maybe, you will see the Elite Site Award displayed on the site you nominated in little time.
